Tara Hohenberger
Tara has spent her career working with Japanese designers, artisans and small manufacturers to introduce and promote their products abroad.
As a Project Manager for Kobe-based Felissimo Design House, she planned exhibitions, events and media campaigns to raise awareness about Japan’s traditional creative products and industries.
In 2013 she led fundraising for The Birth of Saké, a passion project film which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, where it was awarded Best Documentary; Director: Special Jury Mention, and Broadcast Media Documentary Award from the James Beard Foundation.
Tara has been the Marketing Director for Chubo Knives, a purveyor of traditional handcrafted Japanese kitchen knives since its founding in 2012. She also consults on branding strategy for emerging culinary and design projects.
Tara lives in Mexico City where she spends most of her free time exploring the richness of Mexican cuisine.
